Journal of Nutrition and Health Sciences (JNH) is an open access, peer reviewed journal which encompasses the full spectrum of nutritional and acts as a platform for the eminent researchers and physicians to publish their results that challenge the current models and principles. Journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline and publishes discoveries and current developments in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc.

Journal of Nutrition and Health Sciences is using online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems for quality and quick review processing. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Nutrition and Health Sciences or outside experts; at least two independent reviewer's approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript.

Effect of Exposure to Ethanol and Malnutrition on Oxidative Stress in Pregnant Rats and Adult Offspring Exposed in Utero

During gestation, oxidative stress occurs physiologically and stressors such as endocrine alterations, maternal age, genetic problems, exposure to ethanol and malnutrition can contribute to this oxidative stress changing from physiological to non-- physiological, impairing gestation, fetal development and reflecting on the adult life of the offspring. The sows were divided into four groups: Control Group (C), ethanol (E), malnutrition (M) and ethanol and malnutrition (EM). Data were collected from the sows as soon as pregnancy was confirmed and from the offspring from birth to the 60th day of life.
