Journal of Biostatistics and Biometric Applications (JBBA) is an open access journal which focuses on new trends in Biostatistics and Biometrics by rapidly publishing high-level peer-reviewed articles ranging from basic fundamental areas that deal with biological measurements research to statistical and mathematical methods applicable to data analysis, human clinical trials evaluation, recognition of individuals, etc.

Journal of Biostatistics and Biometric Applications is using online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems for quality and quick review processing. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Biostatistics and Biometric Applications or outside experts; at least two independent reviewer's approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript.

Prediction of the Soil-Water Distribution Coefficient from Theoretical Derived Molecular Descriptors

In this work an artificial neural network (ANN) was constructed and trained for the prediction of the soil organic carbon to water distribution coefficients of some aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and benzene derivatives based on quantitative structure- property relationships approaches. The inputs of this network are theoretically derived descriptors, which were chosen by the stepwise multiple linear regression (MLR) variables selection techniques
